Port Pass FAQs

Your Port Pass ID will be ready for you to collect one day after you have completed the online application and associated Port facility specific requirements. Once all requirements have been met you will receive an email outlining the next steps. This will include reporting to the related Port facility to verify your identity and collect your Port Pass card.

Port Pass is accepted by Port and related secure facilities listed at the bottom of the FAQs page.

A Port Pass ID card costs NZD$40 including GST. A replacement card also costs NZD$40 including GST.

If your Port Pass ID card is lost or stolen, you need to report this immediately to Port Pass (support@portpass.co.nz or phone: 0800 767 877). Port Pass will cancel the card and you will need to apply for a replacement. This will typically take one (1) working day to process.

You can still access the related Port facility if your old card has not expired. Each Port facility will have different requirements for replacement. Check the Facility Specific FAQs below for further information related to this.

First, please check with your employer as they may not have processed the payment yet. If this is not the case, please check it hasn’t been directed to your email’s junk/spam folder by mistake.
